Here we are enjoying a most beautiful autumn! What wonderful days - and nights - with warm weather and quiet happenings. As you can see, Jeff and Angela are enjoying an autumn Saturday morning, looking very relaxed (which doesn't happen too often!).
The hay has been baled on the two farm pastures in Iowa. Such serenity to see the big bales in the pasture! And grandchild Jack decided he loved the picture of the bucks on the farm, caught on the trail cam. I hope you do, too.
Fall has come to the Land, and I had to share some of the photos with you that I just took.
I drove out to Denver last week for several days - and what a full, action packed little vacation it was. As you can see from the pictures below, we played with Jack's new toy called "Jack the Skeleton" and visited the zoo, and ate ice cream and played in the park. At the zoo we took a carousel ride and saw a gorilla who seemed so much just like us. And as you can see, Katie and Chloe did a little wild dancing. Chloe may look like our side of the family, but her hair is definitely from Mommy and Nana's side. Oh! to have hair like that!
And sadly, Mom's sister, Aunt Mimi, passed away last week. Her visitation and service was beautiful. I was fortunate enough to be in the Midwest to go to it. It was bitter sweet to see all my cousins, and to know that we now are the bearers of the torch, so to speak. Mimi was the last of the three to pass away. First Uncle Harold, then Mom, and now Mimi. I have so many good memories over many years with Mom, Harold and Mimi. An era has ended.
Good night, Dear Reader.
