Jack started school on Monday! He seems to really like it. He's going to school because it was decided he needs a little bit more help with his speech than his sisters need. Jack looks so grown-up! He seems right at home in the classroom, too.
I guess Chloe really wanted to go into the classroom with Jack. She's ready to attend school, too! Katie, Chloe and Jack all have new backpacks, too. What fun!
After Jeff and Angela took Jack to school, Jeff went to work, and Angela (on a very emotional day as you can imagine!) wisely took Katie and Chloe to Starbucks for juice and a donut, so they felt special, too. What a neat family they have!
I am adding some pictures from the Farm. Jeff and Angela created a really sweet Mother's Day gift for me. It's the picture with the plaque that reads: "Nutcracker Farm." What a perfect gift! I have also included a picture of Norm's truck he was so kind to leave to me. The truck feels very "at home" at the Farm.
Row 4 shows Stig and me at lunch at Shabbona State Park...I forgot to include it in the last blog. And the last two pictures in that row show a "Before" photo of the inside of the old porch, and an "After" photo of the new porch, basically the same view. The porch floor is now all one level and finally very useable.
In the 5th and 6th rows, I have done the same - a before/after of the inside porch, and also one of the outside porch although the platform outside the porch isn't very far along. The last two photos in rows 5 and 6 show the east side of the farmhouse when I first saw it, and then an "after" with the paint job nearly done on that side. What a difference!
Today is a beautifully cool day after so much heat and rain. The geese are amassing, big time! There are 21 geese now. They are all very well behaved - no honking... just calm, cool and collected. I really do feel it is Gordon and Gordeeta's entire clan amassing before flying south.
Enjoy the day, dear Reader!
