The winds blew from the south at 30 miles per hour and sure enough! The ice in the middle of the pond broke up quickly, was pushed to the north shore (in front of the cottage) and then....then disappeared for good.
Ah! Such is life! The ice fishing season is over, dear fishermen Chris and Smitty. Spring is not quite sprung, but it is very close! And we're all ready for it.
I've been transplanting seedlings until I can't hold my head up. And there are more to do. I love them all!
Gordon and Gordetta (and another couple) hang around all day, waiting for me to put out more bird food.
Enjoy, dear Reader, enjoy!
