June was full of momentous events - a trip out to Colorado to see Katie, Chloe and Jack turn 4, sharing Father's Day with Jeff and the entire family, driving to Arizona to see Britney (my niece) get married, and returning to the Iowa farm to see all the rain had really filled up the new pond! Quite a full month!
The pictures show the new overhead poles at the farm, and the pond filling up. Notice the new boardwalk! There will be another one on the other side, too. One particularly hot day as I was driving back to the farm, there stood a deer in the water!
Notice, too, that hope springs eternal that the triplets will visit their Grammie in the Midwest. I just set out Katie, Chloe and Jack's picnic table in front of the farmhouse. In the second photo you can see a little shed off to the right. I want to make that shed into the kid's playhouse. Then I will build a fairy house similar to the one I saw in Hinckley (photo is last one in the third row below) on the hickory stump next to the kids' playhouse.
Then is was father's day.
Sunday, after breakfast Jeff and I spent most of the day in Bailey looking at second homes. Chloe volunteered to go with us, and was quite the grown up! She also got to see Sasquatch and have her picture taken with him! I didn't find any place I would like to live, and we decided it was just too far from Jeff and Angela's house, so no, I won't be moving to Colorado. The Land and Nut Cracker Farm both are enough to handle right now.
Then came the rehearsal dinner. On the way over to the dinner all the kids fell asleep. When they awoke, we had a lot of fun. Britney and Jack went around to meet everyone, I took pictures of all Linda's kids and their spouses, and all the Heim's at the table. There is a picture of Linda and me with Cristina and Patrick, and Angela and Nicki talking at the Patterson house
One of the best pictures, to me, is the one of Pat and his three brothers. They don't get together very often, so it was great to capture this moment. And all the brothers are top notch! It was good to see them and their wives again!
